Normunds works at DIGITALEUROPE as Senior Manager for Infrastructure Policy & Member State Outreach, focusing on Digital Infrastructure Policy and outreach and engagement with the association’s national association members.
Mr. Egle formerly worked in the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, including as the Director of the Electronic Communications department, where he was in charge of the overall policy development regarding telecoms infrastructure, IPv6, 5G rollout, and global navigation satellite systems, among other things.
For over five years, Normunds has served as an attaché in the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Latvia to the European Union, where he negotiated various telecommunications legislative files on a daily basis and organized the work of the Latvian Presidency in the Council of the European Union. He has also worked in the High-Level Internet Governance group and the Communications Committee within the European Commission and represented the ICANN GAC and the ITU.
