Giada Landi received a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2005. Currently, she is the R&D Technology Leader at Nextworks, responsible for the technical coordination of research and consultancy activities.
Giada’s main research areas include 5G/6G, SDN, NFV, MEC, cloud computing, orchestration, and cloud-to-network interactions. Some of her past research actions focused on ASON/GMPLS and PCE architectures, control planes for wireless access networks, and inter-technology mobility. Ms. Landi has also participated in several national and EU FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, and ESA projects and in industrial projects on PCE, SDN/NFV, TSN, and 5G topics.
She is currently participating in EU-co-founded and ESA research projects focusing on 5G/6G networks and integrating satellite technologies in 6G. In particular, she is the Technical Manager of the H2020 VITAL-5G and ESA 5G-HOSTS-SAT projects and participates in HEU Hexa-x-II and TrialsNet projects. Giada also contributes to ETSI MEC as a member of the special task forces on the MEC Testing Framework and MEC API definition.
