Dan-Mihai Chirilă is a Policy Officer in the “Investment in High-Capacity Networks” unit within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology. The unit supports the deployment and take-up of gigabit and 5G networks underpinning the 2030’s connectivity vision and targets of the Digital Decade Policy Programme.
Prior to joining the Commission, Dan-Mihai worked in Romania as a corporate lawyer. He holds a LL.M. in European Competition and IP law from Liège University – Belgium and a university degree in computer science from Oradea University – Romania. He joined the European Commission in 2010 and has been working in the “Investment in High-Capacity Networks” unit for more than 2 years.
