Chiara is a Programme Officer at the Smart Networks and Services JU (SNS JU), the Joint Undertaking, which facilitates and develops European industrial leadership on 5G and 6G, where she also coordinates the communication activities. Over the last 15 years, Chiara has worked in the public and private sectors at the local and EU levels.
At Vodafone Group, she gained extensive experience in company project management and got insights into the latest business and technology developments. While serving at the EU Commission, she helped design EU investments in start-ups and innovative technologies – Fintech, Blockchain, and 5G. Working in DG CONNECT Telecoms Investment Unit, she contributed to setting up the Connecting Europe Digital Facility program and the funding opportunities for 5G in local communities.
Chiara was also a part of the EU negotiating team on Resilience and Recovery Funds, handling digital reforms and investments. Working for the French regional and local authorities, she supported universities and businesses to apply for EU R&I and ICT funds while at the helm of the Région Sud EU Office. At the start of her career, she assisted a Director General of a French local authority. She also taught Administrative Law at Sciences Po Paris, where she graduated in EU Affairs, Law, and Economics.
