Ansis Zeltins is the Chief Executive Officer of Freeport of Riga Authority, Vice-Chairman of the European Sea Ports Organization, Member of the Board of the Baltic Ports Organization, and Member of the Board of the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia.
His solid professional experience in the transport sector has been gained as a Member of the Board of Rīgas Brīvostas flote Ltd and chairing the Supervisory Council of the Latvian Railways – a state 1520 mm railway infrastructure management company. Additionally, Ansis holds diplomatic experience from his work at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Latvia to the European Union in Brussels as a Transport Adviser.
Ansis has also held other maritime industry positions, such as Chairman of the Board of the “LSC Shipmanagement” of Latvian Shipping Company and Latvian Maritime Administration. He has been involved in the maritime industry for 20 years now, representing Latvia at various international maritime industry forums, such as the International Maritime Organization and the International Hydrographic Organization. He has also been a Member of the Board of the European Maritime Safety Agency and Head of the Shipping Working Group of the Council of Europe.
