Quantum Fusion: Seamlessly Integrating QKD Optical Networks into Wireless Communication Networks – 5G, Wi-Fi & IoT
Modern technology demands prompt development of future-proof solutions for safe information flow. This is particularly relevant for sectors like banking, healthcare, and defense where high data transmission security is required. Wireless communication networks security and user privacy is becoming increasingly vital, especially with the development of quantum computers. The integration of quantum technologies into wireless networks will improve the security of data transmission, thereby improving service continuity and secure public access.
During the demonstration event, VASES will share the results achieved so-far on implementing LATQN project. VASES will present research outcomes on various data transmission scenarios between radio equipment of different technologies, such as:
- 5G;
- Wi-Fi;
- Radio equipment equipped with quantum technology functionality.
The goal is to evaluate the performance of the interfaces between wireless technologies and the optical QKD network, analyzing the technical parameters of signals and other parameters important for information transmission under the influence of various external factors.
Preliminary agenda:
- 11.oo Introduction. The Objective, partners and activities of LATQN (Electronic Communications office of Latvia)
- 11.20 Presentation about project «Development of experimental quantum communication infrastructure in Latvia» (Latvia State Radio and Television Center)
- 11.40 Integration of QKD Optical Networks into wireless communication networks (Electronic Communications office of Latvia).
- Architecture of the experimental communication network
- QKD integration into 5G network
- 12.30 Questions & Answers
