Steve Unger is the chair of Cambridge Wireless, which brings together a community of several hundred technology companies working on wireless innovation. Cambridge Wireless is one of the founding partners responsible for creating a new UK Telecoms Innovation Network.
Steve was previously a Board member of Ofcom, the UK regulator for digital communications. He led the group which set the strategy for regulation in the UK, represented the UK internationally, served as Ofcom’s CTO, and as Acting CEO.
Steve is particularly interested in how markets exploit disruptive new technologies and how public policy can maximize the resulting benefits. He is currently working on a book that illustrates this theme by reviewing the first 200 years of innovation in telecommunications.
