Dean Ramos has over 30 years of experience in capital markets as a senior fund manager, sector head for technology, media and telecom investments, and a published senior research analyst. He has successfully invested directly in the US, Europe, and Asia with particular interests in regulatory, political, macroeconomic, and technology developments affecting his company-specific views.
Based in the US, Dean currently operates a strategy, business development, and finance consultancy, Arka Kapital, LLC. Through this, he also operates as an independent market strategist and publisher of views on political economy.
He is an Adjunct Faculty member at Hamline University in the United States, lecturing on Investments, Portfolio Management, and Strategic Finance. Over the past several years, Dean has worked on cross-border trade and economic development as Executive Vice President and Board member at the Latvian American Chamber of Commerce.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, studied at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City and the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain and has MBA and BS degrees from the University of Minnesota.
He is a dual Latvian and US citizen.
