Dr. Claudio Becchetti holds an MSc(Eng), MBA, and a Ph.D. in Telecommunications. He has been an adjoint professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and is currently a professor at Rome Business School from 2017.
For six years, Claudio was Chief Operating Officer and Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors at RadioLabs R&D Consortium jointly held by industries and universities. In 1999, he joined Elmer, then Finmeccanica, and Leonardo, where he had various roles, being also coordinator of innovation projects in Mission Critical Communications.
Currently, Claudio is the Head of Funding and Innovative Programs within Police Forces & the Homeland Security Line of Business. He is also the ESA SES5G project coordinator for a joint space-air-land AI-supported control aiming at a safer, healthy, and fire-resilient environment.
Claudio has authored two books edited by John Wiley and Sons and various technical papers in international journals.
