Gatis Ozols is a Deputy State Secretary on Digital Transformation Affairs and a Government CIO at the Latvian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. The Digital Transformation sector unit is responsible for national and government digital transformation policy & strategy development and steering. The current focus areas of the team are public service digital transformation, government ICT governance & government as a platform implementation, and building an ecosystem to fuel data economy.
Gatis has more than fifteen years of professional work experience in digital government in different positions covering ICT project management, public service policy, and national digital transformation policy.
