Ramazan Yilmaz was born in 1980 in Turkey. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Gazi University in Business Administration & Management and a Master’s Degree from Boston University (BU) in the field of Business Administration with a concentration on Financial Economics in the USA. He studied Net Neutrality as the research thesis.
Ramazan started to work at Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Authority, the regulatory body, as an ICT Assistant Expert in 2006. After he served as Director of Market Surveillance Laboratory at ICT Authority in 2014, then he was promoted to Head of Technical Regulations Department at the Institution.
Ramazan is one of the VCs of the ITU-T SG2, dealing with Operational aspects of service provision and telecommunications management. He is responsible for making the market surveillance of ICT terminals, pursuing the standardization works of 5G & beyond and other innovative comm. tech., regulating and the standardization of infrastructure of ICT industry, monitoring the QoS of fixed BB services, and establishing the ICT GIS in Turkey.
